Retreats
Each year, a favorite of many FCC members is the Silent Prayer Retreat.
Have you ever wished you had time to "take a break" from your hectic daily schedule? Would you like an opportunity to "retreat" - to rest, relax, and reflect? If so, then a silent prayer retreat is for you!
The retreat typically begins on a Friday evening and concludes Saturday afternoon. While there is opportunity for worship and learning about prayer, the majority of time is spent in silence. Attendees are free to do as they wish: pray, reflect, walk, nap, journal, read - whatever they feel led to do in silence.
A silent retreat can be a time when busy-ness stops, demands cannot be made, and moments of just being a person replace the pressure to perform and produce. By intentionally being silent, we are freed to attend to what God's Spirit is bringing to us.
Refer to the Church Calendar for information about upcoming Retreat registrations.
