BE A CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
Children's Sunday school teachers share in the joy of teaching our elementary aged children about Jesus in many fun and meaningful ways. Teachers take turns leading the class each week, and providing help and support the other weeks. Typically teachers will lead once every 4 weeks. Teachers use a wonderful curriculum that is already in place, with lessons prepared in advance, and requiring little preparation time. If you enjoy being around children in grades K-5, you will enjoy being a part of this team. BE A VAN DRIVER
Van Drivers take turns each Sunday picking up our members who no longer wish to drive. We typically have 4-5 volunteer drivers that take turns each Sunday. If you enjoy both driving and hearing stories of the "good ole days", you will enjoy this. BE A LAY LEADER
Lay leaders take turns each Sunday reading the Invocation and Scriptures from the pulpit. There are many volunteers, so each is only asked read 2-3 times each year. This ministry requires vary little preparation as the Invocation and Scriptures are prepared in advance by our staff. BE A GREETER ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
Greeters take turns each Sunday before worship greeting everyone who enters the the church. We maintain a number of volunteers, so each volunteer serves about once every 6 weeks. BE AN USHER ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
Ushers take turns each Sunday welcoming everyone entering the Sanctuary and passing out church bulletins. We maintain a number of volunteers, so each volunteer serves about once every 6 weeks. BE AN ELEVATOR MONITOR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
Elevator monitors take turns each Sunday helping members navigate our elevator as they come in for worship. We maintain a number of volunteers, so each volunteer serves about once every 6 weeks. BE A SOUNDBOARD OPERATOR
Soundboard operators take turns each Sunday setting up the sound system during rehearsal and running the soundboard and computer during worship. Volunteers will typically work the sound system once every 4 weeks. If you love working with electronics and computers, you'll enjoy volunteering for this important ministry. BE A PRAISE AND WORSHIP BAND MEMBER
Praise and Worship Team members lead us each Sunday in 2-3 praise and worship songs each Sunday. If you would enjoy serving each Sunday by playing an instrument or singing in the band, please contact the church office at 776-8790 or office@fccmanhattan.org
BE A CHANCEL CHOIR MEMBER
Chancel Choir members lead us in beautiful hymns each Sunday morning during the school year. They also enjoy performing occasional cantatas throughout the year. They practice each Sunday morning during the school year from 8:30 to 9:15. BE A HAND-BELL CHOIR MEMBER
Hand-Bell Choir members share their beautiful music in worship many times throughout the year. They practice most Wednesday evenings during the school year from 7:45 to 9:00.
