I was born and raised in North Carolina (hence the slight accent) and went to undergrad at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where I studied Speech/Language Pathology.  I became an Americorps* volunteer which brought me to Kansas to serve at the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center.  I stayed in Wichita and then graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Social Work.  I have specialty training in crisis counseling, substance abuse, children and family counseling, marital counseling and non-violent communication.

 

I graduated from Phillips Theological Seminary in 2006 with a Masters of Divinity and was ordained by the Kansas region in 2007.  I have served congregations in North Carolina and Kansas since 1999.

 

My spouse and I were married twice in 2008, ask me and I’ll tell you the story. We have 2 “four legged kids”; Ella Marie and Duchess Anne. They love to play and meet new people.

 

I am interested in knowing what makes life interesting, fun and meaningful.  I am always up for an adventure and don’t shy away from a challenge.  I look forward to the opportunity to share this journey together!
