WHAT'S HAPPENING

 

The final 2011 Stewardship Celebration Sunday results are in!  Thirty-nine pledges were received totaling $188,952.  This represents an increase over last year’s Stewardship campaign and is consistent with our budget planning assumptions.  I personally thank each individual who submitted a pledge card during the campaign.  First Christian Church is blessed to have generous members who faithfully support our important ministries and programs.  We will do our very best with God’s guiding hand to carefully manage these precious resources.  Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!

  

Robert Russell

 

The Stewardship Ministry Team is responsible for exploring, initiating and implementing all dimensions of stewardship with particular focus on addressing issues normally related to finances, property and budgets.  Primary responsibilities include:

  • Planning and facilitating Congregation-wide planned giving via an annual stewardship program

  • Budget preparation and financial management through the Treasurer and Financial Secretary

  • Maintaining a current inventory of Church property

  • Care and maintenance of the Church building, surrounding grounds, and all other property

  • Supervision of custodial staff

  • Church signage

  • Salary recommendations for Minister(s) and employees

The Stewardship Ministry focuses on faithfully taking care of the Church (building, property and finances). Activities include financial planning, budgeting, property improvements and maintenance, and planning for the future. Persons with an
interest in helping with any of these activities are encouraged to become involved.
