What about my kids?
- We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.
- All are welcome to the Lord’s Table for the sake of mission and for the sake of the world as the one family of God. Most congregations do this by celebrating communion every Sunday. That’s why we use a chalice as our logo.
- First Christian Church, Manhattan, KS was founded in August 1867. FCC worshiped downtown at 5th and Humboldt for 152 years. In 2019 the congregation finished construction on a new campus in the Grand Mere area. The first worship in the new building was in May of 2019.
What does a Sunday look like?
- Fellowship begins at 9:30 am in the Community Hall. Everyone is welcome to come as they are and have coffee and donuts and just spend time in fellowship with each other.
- Sunday School hour also begins at 9:30 am. Please check out this link to learn of our classes.
- Worship begins at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary.
What about my kids?
- Children are always welcome in worship. However, we do have a nursery attendant available most Sundays. There is also a Family Room and Family Worship area available for families to worship together, but still allow kids to be kids.
- Children can also attend our Children's Worship and Wonder. They are able to experience the stories of the Bible in a way that is meaningful for them. For ages 3-10. They will leave with a volunteer after the passing of the peace and return at the end of service.
- Matthew 19:14 "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
