Worship and Spiritual Life Team
Worship is our gift to God - not just on Sunday, but everyday. This team sets the stage for us to encounter Christ individually and as a body of worshipers. Through services incorporating prayer and reflection, scripture readings, and music by the Praise Band, Chancel Choir and other gifted musicians, this team creates a schedule of meaningful experiences through which we, as believers, meet God each week to rekindle our flame so that we may be a light to the world.
Local and Global Outreach Team
Team members on this ministry team lead and coordinate events and activities giving us the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with our neighbors in Manhattan and throughout the world in partnership with our Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination along with other global ministry partners. Locally, we support our From Cradles to Crayons childcare, the Flint Hills Breadbasket, Shepherd's Crossing, the Ecumenical Campus Ministry, our Scouting Program, and Meadowlark Hills.
Discipleship Team
Opportunities to grow closer to Christ and deeper in relationship with him are offered through a variety of programs facilitated by this team. Weekly programs such as Sunday school and children's church, as well as small group encounters take place on a weekly basis. Annual summer events include the Holy Fire Praise Camp and camp sessions at the Disciples Center at Tawakoni.
Fellowship Team
If you have a passion for hospitality and the desire to welcome people to Christ, this is the team for you. Fellowship team members plan a robust schedule of events that build deep and lasting relationships among First Christian Church members and our local neighborhood. We offer family friendly programming for all ages. We invite you to meet your neighbors and other church goers as we grow deeper in Christ's love and spread it through the community together.
Stewardship Team
This team is a broad umbrella for financial planning, annual budgets, and ensuring the property and grounds are maintained. The Stewardship Team ensures that FCC is a good steward of the time, treasure and talent afforded to us.
